An Intensive Summer Course on Islamic Studies

Program Details

Join us July 20th through Aug 8th, 2015 for a three-week Intensive Studies Course in Islamic Studies, hosted by the Ahl al-Bayt Islamic Seminary and Baitul Ilm Academy, in Streamwood, Illinois.

The program is optimized for youth between the ages of 17 to 28 interested in deepening their Islamic knowledge and insight. Tuition is $1,200, inclusive of meals and materials. Accommodations are available for out-of-town applicants for $400. Financial assistance available for qualified applicants.

Space is limited, and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.


Resident and Guest Scholars

Resident and guest scholars include Shaykh Rizwan Arastu, Sayyid Sameer Ali, Shaykh Muslim Chawla, Shaykh Ammar Haider, Shaykh Jafar Muhibullah, Sayyid Rizwan Rizvi, and Sayyid Sulayman Hassan.


Tentative Schedule Details

All classes will be held in and around the seminary location at Baitul Ilm Academy in Streamwood, Illinois. Instruction will be in person in order to optimize the quality of learning and encourage interaction between the scholars and students and amongst the students themselves.

Classes will begin every day at 9 am except for Sunday, which is reserved for field trips. Academic instruction will be held all day with documentary screenings, discussion forums, and recreation in the evenings until dinner. Students will have breaks and refreshments between classes.

Saturdays will include a comparative law class, another Qurʾānic studies class and the afternoon will be an open forum for special topic seminars. Sundays are reserved for recreation and field trips.
